My name is Robert Kirabira, founder of Victorious Children's Ministries, Uganda. Fun-loving, energetic, and deeply passionate about making a positive impact. I love meeting new people, sharing stories, and making lifelong friends from all walks of life. My true passion, however, lies in supporting and uplifting vulnerable children.
I am looking for volunteers who can bring joy, energy, and meaningful help to kids who need it most, while connecting with like-minded volunteers and travelers.
We are a small family orphanage run two different schools, which means your time with us will be personal, caring and very rewarding. Our children are all poor and vulnerable children coming from varying backgrounds they are so thankful to have a caring, loving, secure home and chance of an education.
You will enjoy your time with them, they are beautiful, happy, hardworking and respectful children and the people of Uganda are friendly and kind.
Volunteering at a village school in Uganda offers a hands-on opportunity to support rural education, share your language skills, and immerse yourself in local community life.
Our projects include:
Working has assistant Teacher, ages 3-8 years; this will be from 7.30am until1.00pm.
Helping the children with their English fluency, numeracy, reading, organizing games and other activities.
Organizing and facilitating sporting activities, the kids love football, netball, jump rope, hula hoop, running and ball games
Helping teach the children life skills.
Painting the classrooms and landscaping around the buildings
Agriculture we have 3 acres where we grow crops to feed the children, cultivation is ongoing.
Meals typically consist of traditional staples like matooke (mashed plantain), posho (corn meal), rice, beans, and fresh local fruit. Accommodations is basic setups, such as solar-powered lighting, shared pit latrines, and bucket showers.
